LEATHER: Split leather is firmer skin that is the suede side of the skin that is finished to look and feel like top grain leather. It is economically priced and has a durable finish that is ideal for riding protection. The grain is always smooth and matches all panels. There will be no sign of natural scars, scratches or bug bites in the hide. The leather in this item may be a bit firmer but its ready to break in like the leathers of decades ago.
STRENGTH RATING: 4-5 - Maximum strength ideal for riding protection (rating 1-5).

Ordered these chaps because they had good reviews and were on sale for a good price. They fit a little snug, but I wore them a couple of times around the house and they are stretching a bit and fit good. Wore them on the bike the other day when it was a little chilly, about 48 degrees, and they kept my legs warm. Really like them and will probably do some more shopping with Jammin' Leather in the future for other items.

Really great fitting gloves. The thickness is as advertised. Perfect for control of your bike, not bulky at all. Large fits me perfectly.
